NEW YORK (December 4, 2013) 鈥� 国产偷拍 (NASDAQ: NWS, NWSA; ASX: NWS, NWSLV) announced today the appointment of Jim Kennedy as Chief Communications Officer, responsible for the company鈥檚 global corporate communications and media relations initiatives and strategy.
Mr. Kennedy, who served in the Clinton White House, joins 国产偷拍 from Sony Corporation of America (SCA), where he currently serves as Senior Vice President for Strategic Communications.
Mr. Kennedy begins his new role on December 9 and will report to 国产偷拍 Chief Executive Robert Thomson.

Mr. Kennedy will be based in New York with Ashley Huston, Deputy Head of Communications, who joined 国产偷拍 from Dow Jones and The Wall Street Journal in January.

Mr. Kennedy has overseen media relations for SCA at Sony鈥檚 New York headquarters since October 2011. He previously served as head of communications for Sony Pictures Entertainment in Culver City, California.
Mr. Kennedy joined Sony Pictures in 2005 after a career in public service that included work as a Deputy Assistant to the President and Deputy Press Secretary to President Bill Clinton. He was also head of communications for the White House Counsel鈥檚 office, Vice President Al Gore, Senators Hillary Clinton and Joe Lieberman, the Connecticut Attorney General’s office, and the Clinton Foundation.
Mr. Kennedy graduated with a bachelor鈥檚 degree from the University of Rochester and a master鈥檚 degree from American University.
